A study done by Kaiser Permanente funded by the NIH (National Institutes of Health) compared two groups: social support groups and TAT groups. The study showed compared to the group who did TAT, people who took part in social support groups regained almost twice as much weight! 

The more weight people lost, the better they did with TAT, especially those who lost 25 pounds or more!

This is great news for people who lose weight and want to keep it off: people who lost weight regained less when they did TAT.
