A health care practitioner came into my office complaining that his practice was very slow and he wasn’t making any money. He thought that this might be related to his attitude towards money. His parents believed that money was dirty and he was afraid that this might have seeped into his subconscious. So we did a session on Money is Dirty. He enjoyed his session and found it very relaxing. His final comment as he headed out the door was, ‘Money is just money, it’s what we do with it that makes it good or bad.’

I had a hard time getting a hold of him for his follow up call. I finally spoke with him two months later. He apologized for not returning my calls, but he had been swamped with work. I asked him if business had picked up since he came to see me and he reported that yes it had. I asked him if he still believed that money was dirty. He reported that the very idea was the most ridiculous concept that he had ever heard of. Now, one year later, he is still doing quite well in his chosen field.
